Budget-Conscious Promotional Flyer Design

In preparation of the Feldman Family Foundation’s attendance at CHEST 2019, a promotional flyer was desired to build awareness about the foundation and its annual poker tournament. The decision came about too late to adequately shop around for printers, but as a recently created nonprofit expenses were top of mind.

Therefore, a few concessions in the design were suggested to make it both cost-effective and productive as a marketing tool.

Building Critical Awareness with Dual-Focused Handouts

Design and content considerations were employed in creating these effective yet low-cost handouts including:

  • 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ flyer, so each 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ sheet will yield two copies
  • 2-sides, one to create awareness about the foundation’s mission; the other side to promote its Irv’s Texas Hold’Em Annual Tournament.
  • full-color, no bleed—any printer can easily print and cut
  • no borders that will highlight imperfect cuts
  • employ one main color per side, so it is apparent the messaging is different
  • use house cardstock
